True confidence is quiet and unobtrusive — a quiet power paired with an inspiring presence.
Being loud and aggressive is not a manifestation of one’s high self-beliefs.
Often, it’s just a smokescreen for one’s insecurities.
So don’t be fooled by the those people who act like they own the world and look down condescending on others.
This is not what self-love and appreciation–the sources of self-esteem–are.
Building a healthy self-esteem is a journey of personal development and growth. It shouldn’t be driven by a desire to become superior to those around us, but by an aspiration to learn how to accept and love ourselves unconditionally.
So that we can let our star shine brighter.
